Committee apologies
None: all present

Mike welcomed members to the meeting & introduced the 3 committee members who were absent from the first meeting.
Assurances were given that future meetings would not last as long as Septembers meeting but this was unavoidable as we needed to introduce the branch history to new members plus we had to explain the new ticket allocation ruling which LFC has forced upon us.

Mike requested that phones be put on silent – A railway club rule.
A number of comments were made about the meetings not starting on time so we decided to start the committee meetings at 6.30 and request that members be in their seats at 7.25 so we can start the branch meeting at 7.30 prompt.

Congratulations to Bongo & partner Helen who recently gave birth to new daughter Ruby.

Minutes discussed & matters arising from the last meeting.
The Athens ticket & any game which involves a ballot
The branch voted Jamie Carragher as their player of the year.
Membership subscriptions for 2007/2008 season will remain at £5 adults & £2.50 childen.
An attendance register has been introduced.
All ticket applications must be made & paid for in person.
Ticket masters report –
The departure time for the Arsenal coach is 09:30

The cost of the coach is £12 adults & £6 children.

This is due to the smaller numbers travelling.

A reminder that all members who purchase tickets via the branch must pay full price for the coach regardless of if you use it.

The ticket office has informed us that they do not reply & confirm to our request for branch tickets.

The only way we know if our application has been successful is by checking your own fan card history 6 weeks before kick off.

For the small number of members who do not have access to a PC, we can check on your behalf if you wish.

When requesting tickets, the application list will take into account loyalty.

The refund due to any unsuccessful applications will be kept for the game unless you specifically ask for it back.

Liverpool are now surcharging us 50p per ticket and this cost has to be passed onto the members.

All members, not just new members must complete a branch membership form & include your fan card number.

For CL games priority for travel will be given to those who used the mini bus last season.

The Bolton game is being played on December 1 st and if any member wishes to apply for tickets please contact Nathan before September 29 th.

Payment was also needed tonight for anyone wanting Fulham tickets.

The names of anyone wanting to go to the first home Champions league game was also needed tonight.

The gust speaker evening has been postponed and we are now aiming for May 08 with Ronnie Whelan as guest speaker but other alternatives available.

With no further items or questions, Nathan handed back to Mike.

Members were asked only to sign the register for themselves and not for other family members not in attendance. The family rule will cover loyalty.

Good luck to Daniel Pugh, son of Rob & Kerry, who has been chosen as the Liverpool FC mascot for the away game vs derby county on December 26 th.

Newsletter.

A newsletter will be published for the Arsenal game & material is requested from members.

Due to rising costs both the White cross tennis club & the railway club have cancelled their sky subscription so we are looking for a venue where members can meet up & watch the CL away games as a group.
Tony suggested returning to the Rose & Crown which used to be a branch meeting place venue.

Some members are experiencing problems with the customer services dept at Setanta tv.

The LFC channel goes live on Setanta later this month - Sept 20th.

A “how to get there” thread has been introduced on the forum, in the members only section, giving info on travel details to Anfield.

I will enquire into the cost of a hospitality table at one of the home games, probably a mid week cup game and will report back at next meeting.

Raffle
A £1 ticket tonight could win you a flag & scarf valued at £16.

With no further items or questions the meeting was closed.

Date of next meeting - October 8th
