Ticket Officers Report

• Nathan reported that all of the Blackburn Rovers tickets have been sold and we have been allocated tickets in The Kop. Anyone with a fan card that has given Nathan their number should have it credited on their fan card history. The coach for that game will be leaving Woodpecker Square at 9.30am on Saturday 14th October 2006. Nathan asked if people could just let him know when you climb on board the coach what your name is as there are quite a few new members whose name he doesn’t know yet. It was reiterated that anyone caught with alcohol on the coach will receive a lifetime ban from the branch as their actions would jeopardise the clubs existence. The coach will as usual stop at The Raven for a drink/food stop for ¾ hour. The new members were informed of how the golden goal competition works.
• Tickets for the Fulham game go on sale to the branch on 18/9/2006 and members were reminded that this game will be classed as a loyalty game for the match against Chelsea later on in the season.
• Nathan reminded members that a fan card was an essential item costing £3.50 and the membership was for life. Once members have received their card they need to let Nathan have their card number so that when tickets are applied for by the branch in future the games can be credited to the fan card.
• Tickets for the first of the group stages of the Champions League v Galatasary will be applied for by the branch for members with fan cards only, but they need to let Nathan know after the meeting if they would like him to apply for a ticket on their behalf. The transport to this match is likely to be a minibus but it will be dependant on numbers.
• All tickets for this year (purchased by the branch for members) will be charged at £34.00, however if the ticket price is lower i.e. £32.00 the difference will be refunded to members at the next AGM.

Website Officer
• It was reported that the server for the website was currently being changed so some disruption might occur in the next 48 hours. It was again requested that as many members as possible should log on to the site and participate if they can. A question of what swear words were acceptable on the forum was raised and the vast majority of the members present agreed that the swear words should have the middle part of the word filled in with symbols.

Any Other Business
• It was reported that Mark Redman was doing his charity parachute jump today and if anyone who hasn’t yet sponsored Mark for his jump and they would still like to, then could they see Roy after the meeting.
• The after dinner speaker was discussed and it was agreed to defer the date of this until next February or March. Jed is currently sounding out Jan Molby. Most members present at the meeting were in favour of putting this evening on.
• Neil suggested that it would be a good idea to bring back the raffle at meetings and this was agreed.
• A question was raised from the floor – If you buy a ticket from the club do you have to go on the coach? The answer was “ No but you still have to pay for the coach”
• Date of next meeting: Wednesday 4th October 2006

The meeting was closed at 7.59
(just before the England game kicked off!)

Date of next meeting : Wed 4th October
