Committee apologies: Nathan, Kevin, Pete
In attendance: Mike, Derren, Mark

The Chairman welcomed everyone
to a new venue at which we have a good attendance with many new members present.

The new meeting schedule is the 2nd Monday in each Month.

For the benefit of new members, Mike introduced the Committee and gave an overview of the branch history.

Minutes & matters arising from the last meeting.
At the AGM in June a new format was agreed for the committee and this committee has been introduced to you tonight.
The Athens ticket situation was discussed and a new ruling has already been put into place to clarify the actions taken.
Any game which involves a ballot, controlled by LFC, then the “ownership” of the ticket transfers from the branch to the member.
The branch voted Jamie Carragher as their player of the year.
The speaker evening event scheduled for September has been postponed. This will be on the agenda for Septembers meeting.

Membership subscriptions for 2007/2008 season will remain at £5 adults & £2.50 childen.

Only paid up members can order tickets through the branch.

An attendance register has been introduced for the new season which will give loyalty to those who attend the meetings on a more regular basis. However as the forum remains our main source of information then the selling of tickets on the forum will continue as per last season.

Members will gain loyalty by attending meetings & matches and this system will kick in if we are allocated a lower number of tickets than requested for any of the games.

If games are oversubscribed initially (i.e. before Game Loyalty has chance to naturally establish itself) the committee will endeavour to ensure a fair distribution of tickets

Nathan will find out from T.O how they allocate the fancard numbers to 20 tickets if we have asked for 30. i.e which of the 20 gets the ticket allocated to their fan card.

All ticket applications must made & paid for in person.Getting tickets for your mates ain’t done.

If any member posts an apology and a genuine reason why they cannot attend the meeting then there loyalty will be noted (at the discretion of the committee,i.e. won't apply to persistent offenders)

If they want tickets for a game that is on sale at that meeting then they need to be represented by another member who must also pay for the tickets if the money is requested.

Newsletter.
We were producing a newsletter for every game that we used to travel by coach This will continue this year but in the absence of an editor, the committee were going to produce it themselves UNLESS we have any volunteers out there?

Miscellaneous
Regarding the forum, the current set up of “Tickets & travel, members only” section has been split into 2 further sub sections.. One being “Tickets, members only” and one being “travel, members only”.
This will enable better control and more clearer threads especially if games come frequently and are attending by many members.

We hope that new members will visit the forum and start posting because even though it is a very good forum, it is underused

The Web site is being spruced up and contains a lot of information.

Raffle
We normally have a raffle & often the prizes come from the club shop but we are not holding one tonight but will do at September’s meeting.

Tickets

A major change has been announced by LFC T.O regarding branch tickets.
In place of the guaranteed 50 tickets for 4 games per season, we can now apply for (a maximum of 50) tickets for every home premiership game, subject to availability.

Full ticket details can be found on the web site

http://www.lfc-hereford.co.uk/ticketmatchinfo.htm

and the rules can be found at

http://www.lfc-hereford.co.uk/ticketrules.htm

You will also find there, clarification on branch involvement in tickets and transport for Champions League Home games.

Tickets for Toulouse , Arsenal & Fulham are on sale tonight.

AOB
A question was asked about Children attending meetings to get ticket loyalty & it was explained that there is the family rule whereby it is not necessary to bring your children to the meeting to obtain tickets. An adult member attending the meeting is sufficient.

A question was asked about European away travel. The only way to get away tickets is to try & get on the ladder by keep applying for away games until you are successful thereby building your loyalty with LFC.

Although we intend to go to every home CL game, we doubt that this would give us enough credits for the final should we reach it so at least one away game is necessary.

With no further questions the meeting was closed.

Date of next meeting Sept 10th
