Chairmans report

The Chairman welcomed everyone and explained a committee meeting had taken place before this meeting and the following had been agreed. A questionnaire has been handed round asking for members views/ suggestions for the branch. All members were asked to complete it as it was their club.

The original date of the AGM clashed with England playing in Estonia and therefore the date has been changed to THURS 7TH JUNE.

At the AGM alternative days for the meetings will be discussed.

Ticket managers report

Tickets for the Wigan game were sold to those who requested via the website with the remainder on sale to other members. The coach will leave at 9.30.

The excellent trip to the Barca game at which 19 members attended highlighted the importance of attending early games in the Champ League. Members were asked to consider this for next season.

Other items.

Unfortunately the evening with Jan Molby on the 18th May has had to be cancelled due to the date now being not suitable for Jan. Other short term possibilities were considered but it was decided to postpone the event until September to allow sufficient time to organise and sell tickets. A number of ex players will be considered and members were asked to post any suggestions on the forum.

Volunteers were sought for the HJC Cup on the weekend of the Charlton game.

It was agreed that on line payments were not acceptable at present due to the time lag between payment and receipt of statements. At present cheque or cash at the meeting will be the only acceptable form of payment.

Due to the possibility of the next meeting clashing with the next round of the Champ League the meeting was moved to THURS 5TH APRIL
