Chairmans report
Discussions took place about an alternative venue as the Rose & Crown is now too small for the numbers attending the meeting. It was agreed that the Conservative Club in East St should be tried for the next meeting. A map with directions will be posted on the forum. The meeting will take place in the Nell Gwynne Room.
Ticket managers report
Tickets were confirmed for the Chelsea game. The coach will depart at 7.30 a.m as it is a 12.45 k.o. The coach will not stop on the way up for this game.
Tickets were distributed for the Arsenal Carling Cup match and F A Cup match. Transport to be arranged between those attending.
The rules for ticketing were reminded to everyone in light of the problems encountered with the Nottingham branch. Tickets were for members only and anyone found selling tickets on would have their membership cancelled and risked the branch’s future allocations.
It was highlighted how important it is to commit to a ticket when one is ordered on your behalf. It takes unnecessary time and effort chasing people for money and in cases where people have been unable to go the club has lost money.
Other items.
A provisional date of 30th March had been set for Jan Molby function at Munstone House. We are awaiting final details of costs of tickets. Further information will be posted on the forum. All members were asked to help sell tickets for the function as it is important that we at least cover our costs on this.
The aims of RTK were discussed.
The setting up of a Champions League Savers Club was discussed with a view of setting this up as soon as practical for those interested.
The benefits of using the forum were highlighted and members were asked to make better use of this facility. A new competition was now available.
Date of next meeting : Wed 7th Feb 2007
at THE CONSERVATIVE CLUB
